If you are a friendly, motivated individual, with a passion to serve others, the Omni Los Angeles Hotel may be your perfect match.Job DescriptionTo provide technical and administrative assistance to the Director of Engineering Services and to assist in the daily operation of the Engineering Department.Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Engineering in the full upkeep of the asset by using Synergy, scheduling and assigning work orders and preventative maintenance tasks, and other related projects.
• Assist the Director of Engineering in the procurement of supplies and the issuance of purchase orders by using Birchstreet.
• Review work orders and assign work by priorities.
• Maintain proper maintenance supplies.
• Respond to guest requests appropriately.
• Assist with completing the department schedule and administration of payroll and time off requests.
• Work with the Engineering staff on a shift basis and coordinates their activities and training.
• Assume the full responsibility for the Engineering Department in the absence of the Director of Engineering Services.
• Have a thorough understanding of Omni's safety equipment and programs including fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation.
• Have a thorough understanding of all trade skills and code.
• Must be familiar with Omni's Systems and Services procedures.
• Budget, forecasting and spending within limits. Control forecasting. Heat, light and power. Produce capital budget and quotes.

• Must have extensive HVAC and mechanical experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays.
• 2 years management experience required.
• 5 or more years of hotel engineering experience preferred.

Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.Pay range: $90,000 - $100,000. The pay scale provided is a range that Omni Hotels & Resorts reasonably expects to pay.
