A bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood education is preferred but not required. We are looking for an individual with creativity that can bring positive management skills and lead a team.QualificationsBA, BS Degree, or Master's degree in early education preferred but not requiredPrior Managerial/Leadership experience in a child care settingProven track record of growing school enrollmentCPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtainOutstanding customer service skills, ability to multitask, strong organizational skills and handle a variety of situations effectivelyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDcfs RequirementsDirectors hired on or after July 1, 2017, shall meet the following educational requirements:

• A minimum of an associate degree from an accredited college or university in child development or early childhood education; or
• The equivalent (defined as 64 semester hours or 96 quarter hours in any discipline, with a minimum of 21 semester hours or 31.5 quarter hours from an accredited college or university in courses related to child development, early childhood education or early childhood special education) and one of the following:
• Gateways to Opportunity Level I Illinois Director Credential; or
• 3 semester hours or 4.5 quarter hours of college credit in child care administration, leadership, or management; or
• 3 points of credential-approved training in child care administration, leadership, or management.

Completion Of The Following TrainingsFirst Aid/CPR, Food Service Manager License, Welcoming Each and Every Child, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS), Trauma Informed Practices, Lead in Water, Mandated Reporter, and Anaphylaxis and Epinephrine training through American Red Cross.ResponsibilitiesThe safety and security of the children in your care is your #1 responsibilityDevelop strong relationships with our staff, families and communityPerfect licensing visitsGrow enrollment using your creativityDecrease staff turnoverHire great teachersMaintain accurate record-keeping, both state and GSI requirementsSupport staff in daily tasks and classroom managementManage and maintain child care services in accordance with licensingTeam and family engagementBenefitsCompetitive childcare discountsComprehensive healthcare including Medical and DentalLife, Accident & Disability insurance plan coverage401 (K) planPaid time off and company paid holidaysOngoing professional development we pay for through CCEICompensation: $48,000.00 - $52,000.00 per yearLittle Newtons - Elmwood ParkCompany Website: littlenewtons.com
