Base pay range

$70,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr

Overview

We're on the hunt for our next Assistant Director (AD), Job Seeker Services and Candidate Experience. This individual is responsible for supervision and oversight of the Career Navigator team. As a member of the site leadership team, the AD will ensure job seekers are supported in the search and ultimately find employment. This player-coach position has the opportunity to support thousands of community members and make a difference in the Bronx!

Responsibilities
  • Supervise the Career Navigator team to ensure job seekers are assessed and efficiently matched to available job orders
  • Provide operational oversight to ensure all assessment and matching processes connect job seekers to employer needs
  • Coordinate with the team to develop strong assessment processes to identify skills and training needs in a high-volume, fast paced environment
  • Work closely with the Community Partnership Manager to develop marketing materials and source candidates for high volume service model
  • Develop and monitor strategic goals and KPI's related to job seeker assessment
  • Utilize data to drive quality improvements to client experiences and to impact referral to placement ratios
  • Track, monitor and evaluate all relevant data in funder and internal systems
Qualifications
  • B.A. or B.S. degree with at least one to two years' experience providing career navigation, case management, vocational counseling, or employment services.
  • Experience leading teams including hiring, developing and managing performance.
  • Prior experience preferred with individuals receiving public assistance, Veterans, people with disabilities and older populations.
  • An understanding of the special needs of an economically and socially disadvantaged population.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including active and reflective listening, motivational interviewing, authentic communication, and conflict resolution.
  • Highly effective problem-solving and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to focus on deadlines and details.
  • Excellent networking skills.
  • Record-keeping, case noting, HIPAA compliance, and maintaining confidentiality.
