Assistant Director Intramural Sports - Syracuse University : Job Details

The Assistant Director for Intramural Sports is responsible for the leadership, development, and management of the Intramural Sports programs at Syracuse Universitys Barnes Center. The Intramural Sports program includes 30 sports activities and hosts more than 5,000 participants annually. The Assistant Director supervises 2 full-time staff members and approximately 70 student staff. The Assistant Director manages an operating budget of $75,000 and coordinates and implements appropriate risk management and compliance plans, as well as training for student staff. Education and Experience Bachelors degree required, Masters degree in Recreation, Physical Education, Sports Management or related field preferred. 1st Aid/ CPR Instructor certifications. Three (3) plus years of experience working in college/university recreation or related field including experience managing Intramural Sports programs.
