Job Summary

The Assistant Director for the Stevens Service Learning Center serves as the central point of contact for all education-related partnerships and programming done by the Stevens Center. The role includes coordinating the Merrimack STEM Pathways for Youth (MSPY) Program and overseeing educational service learning placements.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Develop, coordinate, and manage all aspects of the Stevens Center's external educational programming, including the MSPY Program.
  • Recruit, supervise, and evaluate students participating in MSPY and other external educational programs.
  • Lead orientation, training, and reflection sessions for students involved in service learning, focusing on student development and success.
  • Assist with service learning projects on campus, manage relationships with students and faculty, coordinate site placements, transportation, and communicate with site supervisors.
  • Coordinate and oversee end-of-semester recognition events for participants and community partners.
  • Develop and implement transportation protocols, managing logistics daily.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on office programming, reporting, and daily operations.
  • Perform other duties supporting the Austin Scholar Program and the Division of Mission & Ministry.
  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's preferred.
    • Proven ability to build successful relationships internally and externally.
    • Flexible in prioritizing tasks and duties.
    • Self-directed and collaborative work style.
    • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
    • Effective communication with diverse stakeholders.
    • 1-3 years of experience in higher education or related fields.
    • Experience in program implementation, evaluation, partnership development, and curriculum development.
    • Familiarity with Google Suites.
    • Valid driver's license.
