Job DescriptionTheAssistant Director, Financial Management Systems plays a key role in supportingand improving the PeopleSoft Financials (FSCM) system and other related financeapplications. This position helps ensure that these systems are runningsmoothly, meet the needs of the University, and follow best practices. TheAssistant Director works closely with the Associate Director, FinancialSystems, Reporting and Planning on system updates, supports technicalintegrations, helps with creating reports and queries, and provides guidance tousers.TheAssistant Director also helps define and maintain the rules and procedures thatguide how the finance systems are used. A major focus of the role is to research and make recommendations onways to improve how the University handles financial tasks by using technologymore effectively. Thisrole works closely with the Financial Management Systems team, as well as withInformation Technology Services (ITS) and other departments, to support systemsecurity, data accuracy, and user access. The Assistant Director also helpssupport projects like system upgrades, testing new features, or making systemimprovements. They help troubleshoot issues, assist users, and supportfinancial reporting efforts. This role is important in connecting technicalwork with the needs of the Finance teams and the larger University.
