Play for P.I.N.K. (Prevention, Immediate Diagnosis, New Technology, Knowledge) is a grassroots organization dedicated to raising funds to fight breast cancer through sporting and lifestyle events. Our commitment is to contribute 100% of all proceeds raised to our sole beneficiary, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), to fund the world's top researchers.

Since its inception, Play for P.I.N.K. has raised over $85 million to support breakthroughs in detection, treatment, prevention, and survivorship, by supporting volunteers organizing sporting and lifestyle events benefiting the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Assistant Director, Events, reports to the Managing Director and plays a crucial role in executing and expanding Play for P.I.N.K.'s strategic plan. This position is integral to our fundraising efforts and partner events, responsible for raising awareness, engaging community participation, developing revenue channels, and managing event logistics and donor relations. The role also involves identifying new markets and opportunities, and promoting the organization's mission.

This position is based in New York, NY, with a requirement to work onsite at least three days per week.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of the strategic team, the Assistant Director will:

  • Events & Logistics Management:
    • Manage relationships for all event opportunities.
    • Coordinate logistics with event chairs, including dates, marketing, and gifting.
    • Oversee event registration via fundraising platforms like Classy.
    • Lead post-event donor stewardship, including thank-yous and photo fulfillment.
    • Update contact lists and event calendars.
    • Handle incoming donations and collaborate with the CFO on financial tracking.
    • Maintain donor data accuracy and generate reports.
