The Assistant Director, Community Impact and Campus Connection plays a vital role in advancing Plymouth State University's mission of Ut Prosim by advancing student learning and multisector partnerships through innovative and reciprocal community engaged learning initiatives. This position facilitates major volunteer, service learning, and co-op experiences, while coordinating campus-wide educational workshops on ethical and engaged project-based learning. This position serves as the primary advisor to student-led service organizations and directs impactful initiatives such as the Student Support Foundation and Swipe It Forward, which collectively address food insecurity, financial crisis response, and basic needs support for students. This role collaborates with community partners, faculty, and student leaders to ensure meaningful and sustainable programming that supports both student development and connection to campus.
In addition to direct programming, this position manages the Off Campus Work Study Program, supervising over 70 student employees annually across regional non-profit placements. They also contribute to departmental strategy and Student Life initiatives, such as Orientation and campus-wide traditions and events. This role supports curricular integration of service learning, gathers and reports engagement data, and maintains strong campus and community partnerships. The Assistant Director is an institutional leader in high-impact practices, contributing to PSU's regional and national reputation through conference presentations, collaboration with peer institutions, and participation in university-wide committees.
