ASSISTANT DIRECTOR / CMU CARES - Central Michigan University : Job Details

The Assistant Director performs duties in support of or backup to the Director of CMU CARES and manages the daily oversight of care referrals for distressed students who come to the attention of CMU CARES. The Assistant Director works closely with campus partners and represents CMU CARES. Required Qualifications Masters degree in higher education, counseling, social work, public health, or a related field. One year of experience working in higher education with demonstrated knowledge of systems; experience managing response to crisis situations; and experience working as part of a collaborative support team. Ability to work with and assist others in navigating through complex systems. Comfort with consultation model, crisis intervention, and triage. High degree of personal and professional integrity, a strong sense of ethics, and respect for privacy and confidentiality.
