Reporting to the Associate Vice President for School Development (AVP), the Assistant Dean will collaborate with the Dean of the Questrom School, the Vice President for Development, the AVP, and volunteer leadership to create, plan, and implement fundraising activities, strategies, and programs in support of the University's next campaign and the School's strategic vision. The role also involves working with the Alumni Engagement team and the Feld Center for Career & Alumni Engagement to enhance alumni and industry partner engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Fundraising: Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising program, manage a portfolio of prospects, and craft proposals for major gifts aligned with strategic priorities. Track and manage fundraising initiatives in coordination with leadership.
  • Leadership: Provide strategic fundraising counsel, build relationships with faculty, alumni, and donors, and serve on senior leadership teams. Manage the Dean's Advisory Board and work with board members to maximize philanthropy.
  • Management: Lead a team of five professionals, oversee the office and budget, and coordinate with Alumni Relations professionals. Supervise administrative duties per university procedures.
  • Communications: Serve as the information resource for development activities, coordinate with various officers, and support prospect activity and engagement.
  • Required Skills:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; Master's preferred.
    • At least 14 years of experience in development or academic fundraising, including prospect management and gift solicitation.
    • Extensive travel, nights, and weekends required.
    • Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal relationship-building skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively, manage multiple priorities, and think strategically and creatively.
