Assistant Controller - Polymer Concepts Technologies : Job Details

The Assistant Controller will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting for Kaydon Ring & Seal operations. Assistant Controller is responsible for analyzing financial statements, supporting the month-end and year-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with both internal policies and external regulations. Assistant Controller will collaborate with various departments to gather necessary data, provide financial insights, and support audits and reviews. The role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Job Responsibilities include and are not limited to:Financial DutiesAssist in the preparation of monthly financial reportingPrepare Journal entries for month end closingICO accruals and cash settlementReconcile balance sheet accountsPayroll and payroll accounting experienceAP/AR controls and review responsibility1099 preparation InventoryAssist with yearend inventory count and GL adjustments as requiredWork with operation to clear any inventory issuesBankingApprove ACH and wire activityReconcile monthly bank statementsForecast/BudgetsProvide input in the preparation of forecasts and budgets as requiredAnalysisReview financials P&L and Balance Sheet for appropriatenessTaxPrepare sales tax for filings and paymentsAssist with business tax filingTax research as requiredFixed AssetEnsure fixed assets are appropriately recorded and depreciatedPrepare entries for depreciationMaintain accurate registers that tie monthly to the financial statements Month endPrepare JEs for Kaydon Ring & Seal operationsEducation/Experience:Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field - requiredMinimum 5 years of accounting experience in manufacturing environmentProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Business Central a plusAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent communication skills and attention to detail - requiredMust be legally authorized to work in the US; no sponsorship availablePolymer Concepts Technologies PBY, Inc.
