Position Overview

This position oversees general accounting operations, including controlling and verifying financial and inventory transactions. Responsibilities include reconciling account balances, overseeing inventory accuracy, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures. The ideal candidate combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial data, transactions, reports, and forecasts.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee inventory staff, process, and reconciliation of inventory.
  • Provide recommendations to improve inventory processes.
  • Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
  • Produce accurate accounting reports and present results.
  • Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
  • Support and advise on accounting systems; review and recommend modifications.
  • Assist with financial statement and budget preparation.
  • Support tax audits and returns.
  • Plan, assign, and review staff work.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain internal controls.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.
    • Qualifications
    • BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant experience.
    • Proven experience as an accountant.
    • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and GAAP.
    Position Requirements
    • Strong inventory background.
    • Advanced MS Excel skills.
    • Attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
    • Research and analytical skills.
    • Ability to meet deadlines.
    • Experience with accounting and POS software (e.g., GP Dynamics, Plate IQ, Nexternal, Silverware) is a plus.
