$80,000.00/yr - $105,000.00/yr

CFS has paired with a non-profit organization looking to bring an Assistant Controller onto their team.About The Organization Seeking An Assistant Controller

• Their mission is to end homelessness through advocacy, collaboration, education, housing, and the implementation of outcome-based programs
• Originally formed from an addiction treatment center, over the last 40+ years this group has grown to address evolving issues surrounding homelessness
• This is a tight-knit organization where all employees care deeply for the mission
• The small accounting team has three members including this role, with the Assistant Controller and two accounting clerks reporting to the CFO

Responsibilities Of The Assistant Controller

• Own the month-end close process and general ledger
• Handle billing for both governmental and private entities
• Approve monthly payroll accruals
• Assist with an upcoming software conversion
• Ad hoc projects as necessary

Expected Background Of The Assistant Controller

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or experience equivalent
• Additional degree is a major plus
• 7+ years of accounting experience with 3+ years in an Assistant Controller/Senior Accountant role
