A mid-size distribution company in Suffolk County, Long Island, is actively seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Controller to join their growing team. As a crucial member of the company's leadership, you will report directly to the CFO

Job Responsibilities:

· Manage all aspects of account; billing, financial statements, general ledger, cost accounting, payroll, budgeting, and tax compliance

· Monitor the financial performance of the company

· Prepare and organize financial statements for record and review

· Advise on financial analyses and decision-making regarding capital investments, pricing, contract negotiations, significant costs, benchmarks, and other matters with management and chief financial officer

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration with an emphasis in accounting, or a related field

· Master's degree strongly preferred

· Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license strongly preferred

· 5-10 years of experience in field

· Excellent computer skills; experience in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

· Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles
