Assistant Controller - Abacus Group : Job Details

Our client is a private equity firm. They seek an Assistant Controller to join their Manhattan, NY office.Responsibilities Handle accounting operations, financial reporting, and investor deliverablesPrepare performance reporting, tax reporting, and regulatory oversightOversee third-party administrator, design review workflows and analyticsTrain Fund Accountants on preparing journal entries and financial statementsWork with the investment team and broader finance team on deal acquisitionsProduce and review capital call/distribution excel files and investor noticesResponsible for external audit and tax compliance work of assigned FundsComplete liquidity management and maintenance, including basic treasury functionsReview LPA agreements and ensure proper partnership mechanics are accounted forRequirements 6+ years of accounting experiencePrivate equity fund accounting backgroundExperience with complex funds/waterfall calculationsCombo accounting experience preferredExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsMotivated, organized, and detail-orientedCPA requiredSkilled in Investran and ExcelSeniority level Mid-Senior levelEmployment type Full-timeJob function Accounting/AuditingIndustries Venture Capital and Private Equity Principals#J-18808-Ljbffr
