A global manufacturing company is seeking a forward-thinking Assistant Controller to join its Findlay-based finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a high-impact role with visibility across business units and influence in major strategic initiatives - especially as the company prepares for IPO and continues a multi-entity integration effort.
You'll partner directly with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver accurate financial forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis, while also supporting critical initiatives like global ERP consolidation and pricing strategies.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present monthly P&L statements by business unit, category, or part number
- Deliver detailed financial analysis and reporting to site leadership and global stakeholders
- Own monthly forecast cycles (P&L, cash flow, and KPI reporting)
- Lead annual budgeting processes and support variance analysis versus actual results
- Upload and manage financial data in the global managerial accounting system
- Collaborate with department leads to identify trends, investigate variances, and optimize performance
- Support sales and commercial teams with pricing strategy and customer negotiations
- Partner with quoting and new product development teams by delivering financial inputs
- Play a key role in upcoming ERP consolidation efforts
- Act as a strategic finance advisor to site leadership and other business units
🎯 What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally automotive or industrial
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills
- Strong understanding of GAAP (IFRS familiarity a plus)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- High emotional intelligence and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
