Assistant Clinical Director (Registered Nurse)
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm
The Assistant Clinical Director is responsible, as the leader/manager of all regional Staff including the regional Interdisciplinary Teams (IDT), to the Clinical Director for the implementation, delivery, coordination, and clinical and administrative supervision of all hospice services delivered by the respective regional team and regional IDT's consistent with the client's policies and procedures. Job Duties can include but are not limited to:
Participates and provides leadership for the team for regular IDT meetingsReviews and revises the patient/family care planServes as a member of the clinical management team in order to address problems associated with the delivery of clinical services; identifies staff development needs; and puts forth suggestions for appropriate changes in policies and proceduresSupervises the maintenance of medical records assuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with regulations, legal and ethical standards and team meets compliance standards and team meets compliance standards and team meets compliance standards on quarterly and random clinical record auditsCollects and reviews pertinent clinical data at team meetingsMonitors IDT in completion of care plansSubmits Plans of Correction to Administrator and Clinical Director when required by audit results and/or patient family satisfaction surveysMonitors documentation of all team members, and counsels IDT when documents do not meet company standardsConduct supervisory visits to allow for observation for performance of all team membersMaintains accounts by developing relationships, maintaining a presence and providing educationProvides the number of customer in-services to each contracted facility required by law, and provides appropriate supporting documentationArranges team coverage for on-call and staff time offProvides leadership and counsel to regional personnel to enhance staff developmentMeets budgeted Average Daily Census and Admissions goalsMeets referral conversion goals as set by State AdministratorEngages with regional community education liaison regarding regional business development and displays commitment to the growth of the region and organization.Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Professional Experience:
- Must have a State Certified RN license
- 5 years experience as a professional nurse, hospice experience strongly preferred
- CHPN certification, a plus
- Must have a valid Driver's license and reliable transportation
- Must be willing to travel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
