**Job Description:**The Assistant Child Care Director is responsible for programming and supervising a child care program to meet the needs of children and parents. Responsibilities include overseeing the site specified in the work agreement and those assigned by the Child Care Director. The role requires upholding the employee code of conduct and ensuring all duties reflect the mission of the Old Colony Y and relevant regulations. The candidate should demonstrate caring, responsibility, honesty, and respect in their work.

**Requirements:**

• Must meet all requirements for the EEC Director/Lead Teacher Certification.
• Minimum of two years supervision/management experience.
• Evidence of physical examination within the last 12 months.
• Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, or enrolled in a degree program.
• Minimum of two years classroom experience.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
• Certificate of immunity for measles, mumps, and rubella.
• Ability to create and sustain a culture of excellence and work as part of a team.
• Ability to lift/move heavy equipment and clean when necessary.
• Availability to work early mornings, late nights, and weekends.
• Strong oral communication skills for public speaking.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, bend, lift up to 75 lbs occasionally and 40 lbs frequently, and move during work hours.
• Understanding of Y-USA's focus areas: Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility.

**Additional Information:**This is a mid-senior level, full-time position in the Education and Training sector within non-profit organizations, located in Lynn, MA, with a salary range of $90,000-$95,000.
