This position is for a prominent software company close to Downtown San Jose, CA. You will support the Chief Engineer in managing engineering operations and directing vendors and subcontractors. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of building systems, providing technical guidance, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage shift operations, assign work orders, and provide training to coworkers and subcontractors
  • Review monthly tenant service request summaries to identify and resolve recurrent operational issues
  • Develop a preventive maintenance program for machinery and systems
  • Inspect systems to ensure they operate within normal parameters
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and tools, ordering necessary materials as needed
  • Schedule preventive maintenance and downtime to minimize business interruption
  • Perform repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance, and document all activities
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, requesting additional help as necessary
  • Apply advanced knowledge to develop better methods for achieving departmental objectives
  • Demonstrate expertise in your job discipline and in-depth knowledge of related areas
  • Coach team members to develop their skills and expertise
  • Lead by example and embody the company's RISE values
  • Anticipate objections and persuade others, including senior stakeholders, to adopt new perspectives
  • Contribute to achieving customer, operational, project, or service goals across multiple teams
  • Follow functional policies that influence procedures and standards
