ASSISTANT CHIEF ENGINEER - United States Cold Storage : Job Details

The Assistant Chief Engineer is responsible for the overall safety and efficiency of the facility. They will work closely with the Chief Engineer. They will ensure that the refrigeration system is in good working condition and perform required repairs when needed. Further, the Assistant Chief Engineer will assist with the training and development of their team. This individual will focus on leading new projects and initiatives within the facility. Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the facilities refrigeration systems, material handling equipment, and maintain all aspects of facility infrastructure and grounds. Train and Manage daily tasks of maintenance personnel. Perform duties to plan, schedule, supervise, operate, maintain, and repair as needed. Schedule and manage facility projects. Train all employees in various safety and regulatory compliance topics. Must be able to be on call 24/7/365. Oversee and maintain the process safety management plan.
