This full-time position works closely with the Chief CRNA and Anesthesia Medical Director to help ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality anesthesia care and effective team performance. The Assistant Chief CRNA will have dedicated administrative time to assist with staffing, scheduling, and performance management while continuing to provide clinical care. This role also serves as a liaison between CRNAs, physicians, and hospital leadership, and will act as Chief CRNA as needed.Key Responsibilities And Competencies
- Support CRNA scheduling, staffing, and daily operations alongside the Chief CRNA
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, orientation, and evaluations of CRNA staff
- Help lead departmental initiatives, serve on committees, and support shared governance
- Coordinate with OR and hospital leadership to ensure safe and efficient care delivery
- Perform Chief CRNA duties in their absence and other responsibilities as assigned
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care
- Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program
- Master's degree in Nursing
- Active RN and CRNA licensure in New Jersey (or eligible)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Minimum of 3 years of CRNA experience preferred
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
