The Assistant AD manages the broadcast services via livestreaming via ESPN. This role is responsible for the strategic planning and implementation for athletics department's social media.Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience:Requires a bachelor's degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials:Valid driver's license.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in all aspects of broadcast and game day production is preferred. Experience in managing and training a significant student and part-time staff. Additional preferred experience includes video editing software, in particular Final Cut Pro, as well as graphic design software.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Proficiency in video shooting, editing, and production software (e.g., Adobe Suite including Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects). Strong understanding of social media platforms (Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook). Knowledge and understanding of production equipment for professional-quality live broadcasts (NewTek Tricaster, 3Play, Ross Xpression, etc.) Knowledge and understanding of various broadcast cameras for quality ESPN+ productions. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations, exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills, and excellent written & oral communication skills. Employee must be loyal to the university and the athletics department. Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights and weekends. Employee will travel to out of town meetings and conferences as required or travel with teams as needed.Job Duties:Job DutyCoordinate, create and implement multimedia content and game day production for video scoreboards at home men's and women's basketball games and volleyball matches.Essential Function: YesPercentage of Time: 20Job DutyCoordinate, create and implement multimedia content and game day production for video scoreboards at home men's and women's soccer games and softball games.Essential Function: YesPercentage of Time: 20Job DutyOversee the production value/quality of the ESPN and Big South broadcasts for men's and women's basketball, men's and women's soccer, volleyball, baseball and softball. Create and produce graphic designs for use in social media, television, and in-venue videoboards as part of the athletic department's creative graphic design staff, while providing daily oversight of student staff working in this area.Essential Function: YesPercentage of Time: 20Job DutyOversee department digital strategy and calendaring of content for team and main accounts. Develop and executes digital strategy. Coordination with department communication and marketing efforts. Evaluation of impression and engagements to discern best practices for use of personnel and resources for future social content.Essential Function: YesPercentage of Time: 20Job DutyOversee the production of highlight videos for use in various mediums including implementing on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter, Athletics web site, Hall of Fame Banquet, and the annual Athletics Awards Banquet.
