Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Engineering

Grace College invites applications and nominations for a full-time faculty position in Engineering, at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. Responsibilities include teaching, advising, department and college service, scholarly activity, and professional development.

Primary responsibilities involve contributing to the development of our Engineering program, supporting ABET accreditation, teaching undergraduate engineering courses, and mentoring students academically and spiritually. Additional duties include departmental and college service, research, facilitating student research, and engaging in professional growth.

The engineering department at Grace is young, ABET-accredited, and expanding. It supports an SAE Baja Team, conducts research for Medical Technology companies, and actively serves the community. Future plans include new facilities and the Orthopedic Innovation and Research Center. The department emphasizes hands-on applications to reinforce theoretical foundations, aiming to prepare engineers for industry and societal contribution. The successful candidate will develop classes and labs to challenge students and may help expand into other engineering disciplines. The department values a close connection with the community, which the candidate will foster.

Grace College is a Christ-centered Liberal Arts College rooted in pietist and evangelical traditions. Located near Winona Lake, Indiana, it offers 52 majors and 38 minors. Qualifications:

  • A PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (preferred)
  • A commitment to the mission and values of a Christian institution, integrating faith and learning
  • A collaborative approach with colleagues and students
  • Research interests that can include student engagement
