A doctorate is required for this tenure track position with a starting salary of $68,501.70 (Assistant Professor); $78,776.95 (Associate Professor), with the possibility of additional compensation for prior collegiate teaching or other relevant experience.

Position InformationThe IACBE-accredited School of Business at Rhode Island College invites applications for one open rank, tenure-track faculty position (assistant, associate, or full) with a primary focus in Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior. We seek candidates with a strong interest in teaching within a liberal arts setting who are eager to teach various human resource management courses, including recruitment and selection, compensation and benefits, human resource development, and strategic human resource management. There may also be opportunities to teach other courses, including organizational behavior, managing workplace diversity, and principled leadership.
ResponsibilitiesPerform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Department Chair; including, but not limited to, working with student organizations, and participating in service activities with colleagues, the department, the School, the College, the community, and professional organizations.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and AbilitiesEducation: Ph.D. or DBA in management, business administration, or a related field from an accredited institution. ABD considered if doctoral dissertation will be defended by December 31, 2026.
Experience: Experience as instructor or teaching assistant, teaching at least one university-level course.
Preferred QualificationsTeaching/instruction is performed in a traditional classroom setting or hybrid setting.
