This role will support senior management in ensuring appropriate internal controls and enhancing current processes.

Company Overview:A full-service commercial bank serving professional service firms and small to mid-sized businesses is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their dynamic environment. This role will support senior management in ensuring appropriate internal controls and enhancing current processes.Job Responsibilities:

• Obtain necessary approvals and process invoices through the accounts payable module
• Prepare all checks and ACH payments
• Update the Accounts Payable / Check register
• Create batch tickets and code 1099 information
• Prepare and record monthly general entries including cash activities, accruals, amortization of prepaid expenses, and deferrals
• Reconcile, review, and analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts on a monthly and quarterly basis
• Present financial results to management
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and Bank Secrecy Act regulatory requirements
• Liaise with other internal departments within the firm

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting with a minimum 3.3 GPA
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills
• Experience with FISERV-Prologue general ledger and subledger products is a plus
