Goldman Sachs is looking for a Senior Product Manager who will have the direct responsibility of the development and implementation of the Accounting platform, technology, and operational strategy. This role will specify, implement, and manage the experience to achieve the agreed business plan; design and manage through the full product lifecycle to meet customers' and user needs, deliver a best-in-class experience, and prioritize the roadmap based on impact to client experience, operational efficiency, and commercial results. A Senior Product Manager justifies the strategic direction to software development and GS leadership and may manage junior Product Managers or Business Analysts.

The Senior Product Manager must:

• Partner closely with Portfolio Managers, Operations, Sales, Distribution partners and Engineering to validate existing problems, act as the user champion to Engineering
• Have a comprehensive view and understanding of the accounting standards, principles (including specific focus on tax lot accounting / wash sale accounting) and platforms in the asset management industry, and drive competitive analysis
• Develep a business plan, strategy, and product roadmap based on a deep understanding of business drivers, competition, and stakeholder needs
• Analyze quantitative and qualitative user feedback and KPIs to inform product strategy and pipeline development
• Define long- and short-term goals based on commercial and user outcomes; evaluate product performance relative to goals
• Prioritize initiatives and features, using domain expertise, customer and user insights, and market research to make informed trade-offs between new feature development, platform investment, and operational efficiency
• Scope product releases (MVPs) to deliver value early and validate business hypotheses with the least amount of effort
• Partner closely with Engineering and other stakeholders to define user journeys and product features; write acceptance criteria at the initiative and feature level
• Create roll-out strategies and go-to-market plans
• Influence senior leaders' decision making and investment
• As needed, particularly during the startup phase of the program, play a hands-on Agile Product Owner role working directly with delivery teams and building backlogs
• Roadmap our products and priorities the simultaneous develop of strategic initiatives alongside tactical projects and product enhancements
• Leverage data and key metrics to inform product strategy and deployment strategy
• Ability to work and deliver results independently, a self-starter with an ability to get in the weeds where necessary
• Ability to partner and drive results with third party vendors

Qualifications:

• A passion for technology and how it can be applied to solve business problems of all sizes
• 7+ years of experience operating within a technology platform / business Accounting / operations management experience with an asset manager.
• Expertise with investment accounting, tax lot accounting, NAV reporting, reconciliations, asset valuation, P & L calculations, and reporting
• Familiarity with FIS Investment Accounting Manager (formerly InvestOne) or any other accounting systems
• CPA and/or CFA preferred
• U.S. GAAP technical accounting knowledge
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies/JIRA
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and planning skills

Salary RangeThe expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $100000-$235000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
