Structured Investing

The Structured Investing Group is a global, multidisciplinary team within Asset and Wealth Management, specializing in optimizing the Firm's investing, lending activities, funding, and legal structure strategies. The team originates, structures, and executes transactions impacting the Firm's tax, regulatory, and accounting positions. We collaborate across Asset and Wealth Management and other departments, originating and executing our own transactions. This dynamic, analytical, and execution-focused team thrives in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

We seek an experienced US tax professional specializing in international planning to develop and execute transactions and initiatives that help the Firm navigate changing domestic and international tax laws. Responsibilities include developing transaction proposals, liaising with external advisors and the Firm's tax department, modeling quantitative effects, analyzing the comprehensive impact on the Firm (including accounting, capital, regulatory, liquidity, and other areas), and presenting proposals to leadership. The candidate will work closely with team members to progress transactions through approval processes and execution.

Qualifications
  • US tax professional with 8-10 years of law firm, accounting firm, or in-house experience, focusing on international tax planning
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Knowledge of non-tax aspects of transactions, especially accounting and financial statement impacts
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong Excel modeling skills
  • Team player with excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Salary Range

The expected base salary for this New York-based position is $150,000 to $300,000. Additional discretionary bonuses may apply for active employees at fiscal year-end.
