Position Summary: Prevent and reduce loss due to bad debt, cash over/short, and civil liabilities; reduce shrink and improve margins. All associates are required to perform tasks safely, following corporate policies and legal standards. Minimum Requirements:

• Knowledge of Fred Meyer policies and procedures.
• Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or related experience.
• Retail security or law enforcement experience.
• Ability to continue education.
• High school diploma or GED, or relevant experience.
• Minimum age: 18 (21 in Alaska).
• Ability to pass a drug test.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high accuracy.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Organizational and prioritization skills.
• Familiarity with loss prevention terms and processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to detect and deter theft, monitor store areas, and report incidents.
• Support customer and employee relations.
• Provide credible court testimony if needed.
• Identify high theft areas and ensure policy compliance.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including overtime and weekends.
