Position Summary: Prevent and reduce loss due to bad debt, cash over/short, and civil liabilities; reduce shrink and improve margins. All associates are required to perform tasks safely, following corporate policies and legal standards. Minimum Requirements:
- Knowledge of Fred Meyer policies and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or related experience.
- Retail security or law enforcement experience.
- Ability to continue education.
- High school diploma or GED, or relevant experience.
- Minimum age: 18 (21 in Alaska).
- Ability to pass a drug test.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high accuracy.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Organizational and prioritization skills.
- Familiarity with loss prevention terms and processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to detect and deter theft, monitor store areas, and report incidents.
- Support customer and employee relations.
- Provide credible court testimony if needed.
- Identify high theft areas and ensure policy compliance.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including overtime and weekends.
