Highbridge Capital Management is seeking a Vice President as an experienced convertible bond trader to focus on the U.S. markets and collaborate closely with the Head of U.S. Credit & Convertible Trading. This role involves a thorough understanding of convertible bond valuations and trade execution protocols. The Vice President will adopt Highbridge's systematic investment approach and help manage positions accordingly, overseeing existing investment positions and evaluating new opportunities, as well as developing relationships with sell-side sales and trading desks.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Execute trades and manage the firm's portfolio of high-credit quality convertible debt exposures.
  • Adjust equity, credit, and interest rate hedges dynamically at the position level.
  • Oversee corporate actions to ensure effective execution and compliance.
  • Monitor news events and specific risks associated with each position.
  • Leverage Highbridge's investment tools to identify new opportunities.
  • Evaluate the theoretical valuation and relative value of the firm's holdings.
  • Collaborate with the Heads of U.S. Credit & Convertible Trading and Research.
  • Foster relationships with sell-side sales and trading desks for enhanced execution and liquidity.
  • Coordinate with Highbridge's Risk, Middle Office, and Pricing teams for accurate position reporting.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

  • Experience:5 to 10+ years of trading convertible securities.
  • Education:A degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong Intellectual Capacity:Comprehensive understanding of trading, investing, and capital markets.
  • Financial Acumen:Strong understanding of security valuation and financial markets.
  • Organizational Skills:Excellent abilities to manage multiple tasks.
  • Documentation Analysis:Familiarity with reviewing debt documentation regarding conversion mechanics.
  • Outstanding Quantitative and Analytical Abilities:Demonstrated proficiency in quantitative analysis.
  • Meticulous Attention to Detail:Commitment to precision and disciplined processes.
  • Effective Communication Skills:Strong verbal and written abilities to engage with stakeholders.
  • Collaborative and Adaptable Team Player:Excels in a dynamic, global team environment.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset:Brings energy, intellectual curiosity, and dedication to driving results.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

  • Experience: Listed equity option knowledge a plus.
