Assembly Technician - Wabash National : Job Details

As an Assembly Technician, you will be a crucial team member to complete the tank trailer. All work duties are performed under the direction and supervision of the department supervisor and team leads. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Below are examples of the type of duties you could be responsible for: Receives work assignments from Supervisor and discusses job to minimize questions about what is to be done. Primary duty will be to assemble FRP tank trailers. Ability to learn how to operate plasma torch equipment and related equipment to perform cutting procedures, which ensure proper fit-up and appearance. Uses Tig/ Mig welders to weld stainless steel parts. Uses devices (jigs) to maintain correct positioning. Ability to learn methods of grinding welds, deburr rough metal, produce various finishes on metal. Performs rework as required to ensure completeness and compliance with established specifications.
