Assembly Technician - PDS : Job Details

Job Title: Turbomachinery Technician II B Shift

Compensation: $46.20 per hour

Location: Onsite Kent, WA

Schedule: B Shift Monday to Thursday, 3:00 PM 1:30 AM.

Technical Skills Needed:

Responsibilities:

• Perform precision assembly of turbomachinery components.
• Conduct detailed component inspections and precision rotor balancing.
• Calculate dimensional stack-ups to ensure proper assembly of components.
• Coordinate hardware processing including inspection, cleaning, and shipping.
• Manage hardware under critical cleanliness requirements.
• Assist engineers in reviewing design concepts and provide feedback for improvements.
• Innovate to improve processes and increase operational efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience with assembly of turbomachinery, propulsion systems, or highly technical machinery.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and follow detailed work instructions.
• Strong mechanical skills with proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience in propulsion assembly, integration, and testing.
• Technical degree or relevant certification.
• Advanced knowledge of precision inspection equipment and critical sealing techniques.
• Experience with 3D measurement tools and CAD software.
