Assembly Controls Engineer - Magna International : Job Details

Roles and Responsibilities:The Controls Engineer will provide support, leadership and direction to the Maintenance Technicians and perform controls function for the Assembly Maintenance Department. The Controls Engineer will support and carry out the assignments and responsibilities given them by the area Manager. The Assembly Industrial Engineer works on compliance and Continual Improvement projects as it relates to Safety, Quality, Efficiency and Cost. Implements Continual Improvement projects, leads teams in Ergonomics and Safety processes as well as improves Work, Walk and Wait opportunities. Coordinates and plans flow improvements in material storage areas and streamlining all Non-Value Add activities. Maintains and drives Continual Improvement activities for Assembly department with focus on Up-Front engineering design and day to day Lean Manufacturing process improvements.
