Assembly and Test Technician - First Tek : Job Details

Job Opportunity in Elma, New York Join our Commercial Aircraft Group team where innovation meets precision. Located in the charming town of Elma, New York, our facility offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for growth and development. We are currently seeking a skilled professional to join our team on the 2nd shift, with a competitive hourly pay rate and a 10% shift differential starting from day one. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform assembly activities using a variety of mechanical and electronic measurement equipment and specialized fixtures, tooling, gauging, and torque mechanisms to meet build requirements.
• Work from drawings, work instructions, and parts lists, and provide written communication on performance results and situational circumstances.
• Conduct operational tests of finished products on high precision test stands using hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic test equipment, fixtures, and tools.
• Diagnose test failures and assess hardware condition to provide recommended rework instruction and configuration changes.
• Perform daily administrative responsibilities to support overall operations.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED preferred. Ability to understand and apply verbal, written, and computer work instructions or training in English, and perform basic math operations.
• At least 3 years of experience in a related technical field.
• Compliance with Federal Aviation Agency (F.A.A.) regulations regarding Safety Sensitive Work, including enrollment in the company's F.A.A. Drug & Alcohol Program.

Additional Information:

• 2nd shift hours are 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm with potential training on 1st or 3rd shift as needed.
• 1st shift hours are from 6:00 am - 2:30 pm.
• 3rd shift hours are from 10:30 pm - 6:00 am.
