Assembler - Kits - TransPak : Job Details

Position Summary: The Assembler - Kits will assemble packaging components as directed by a drawing and ready it for shipment. They will also organize assorted inventory for other types of assemblers. Essential Functions:

Detailed Assembling of Packaging Components.

• Fold, glue tape or stich corrugated items as needed.
• Assemble and glue foam items.
• Assemble and clean plastic corrugated items. Cleaning includes wiping down and visual checks- no clean room required.
• Assembles miscellaneous items as required.

Quality Checks and Cost Savings

• Accurate and efficient kit assembly to decrease shipment errors.
• Returns unused material from work order to stock.
• Maintain clean and organized work area.
• Quality check kits for accuracy.

Safe and Efficient Facility Team Member

• Address and report all equipment defects or maintenance needs to maintain safe and efficient use. Follow all procedures, policies and know the equipment before using it.
• Speak up when observing something that may be unsafe or someone performing unsafe acts.
• Efficiently perform work according to standard operating procedures.
• Work together with other team members to accomplish tasks safely in a fast-paced production environment.

Education/Knowledge/Skill Requirements:

• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Basic computer skills needed to log in and out of jobs with employee identification number
• Ability to learn new software
• Ability to work independently with little supervision while meeting deadlines
• Must be able to work at a steady pace in a fast-paced work environment
• Ability to work as a member of a high performing production team
• Ability to read a tape measure in ¼ and ⅛ gradients
