Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mechanical Assembly Technician who is capable of performing a wide array of assembly tasks in various departments, excluding welding. The ideal candidate will be able to assemble mechanical support units, identify and assemble all parts, and follow proper sealing and material ordering procedures. You should be familiar with plumbing, electrical work, and capable of working from ladders up to 20 feet in height.
Responsibilities
Perform assembly tasks in assigned department, excluding welding.
Flex to different work stations and assembly lines as needed.
Assemble mechanical support assemblies to specifications.
Identify and assemble all parts as per requirements.
Practice and sustain 5S methods for workplace organization.
Understand and operate material ordering systems.
Ensure proper sealing procedures for all products.
Read data plates and understand motor sizes.
Perform plumbing and electrical work on units.
Capable of working safely from ladders up to 20 feet.
Familiarize with knock down packing and crating.
Install special accessories on units, understanding function and installation.
Ensure quality by following ISO procedures, policies, and instructions.
Mentor and drive LEAN principles in the assigned area.
Contribute to improving safety performance and eliminating safety issues.
Help achieve departmental safety goals, including near miss reporting.
Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Essential Skills
General knowledge in the construction of related equipment.
Strong initiative, problem-solving skills, and teamwork capability.
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Good communication skills for professional interaction with representatives, customers, and co-workers.

Understanding of bill of material.
Working knowledge of computers, including specific systems such as ManMan and PPD.
Competency in simple math and usage of basic hand-held measuring tools.

Maintain regular attendance and awareness of workplace hazards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in assembly, use of hand tools, and mechanical assembly.
Ability to read blueprints and a tape measure.
Mechanically inclined with experience in general labor.
Experience in using power tools and air tools.
Possess a construction or mechanical experience in a manufacturing facility.

Work Environment
This position involves working the 3rd shift in a manufacturing facility where the noise level is usually loud, requiring hearing protection. Most work is done indoors, but large bay doors often expose the area to weather conditions. Housekeeping is done per shift, but expect to get dirty. Steel toe or composite toe boots (self-supplied) are mandatory, along with PPE provided by the company, including ear plugs, safety glasses, gloves, and arm shields.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.66 - $19.66/hr.
