Job Description

The assembler will perform diversified electro-mechanical assembly operations, which include building mechanical, electrical, and module assemblies following good manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform diversified electro-mechanical assembly operations, building mechanical, electrical, and module assemblies.

• Follow released assembly and pretest procedures, and build sub-assemblies with varied components, wiring, cabling, and harness configurations.

• Mount sub-assemblies into instrument cases and attach various electro-mechanical components.

• Assemble mechanical assemblies of various types, involving component parts and sub-assemblies; mount sub-assemblies and units such as sensors, electrical components, cable assemblies, printed circuit boards, hardware, wiring, plates, pumps, valves, and similar items onto base plates.

• Install various harness assemblies to final instruments/subunits, conduct instrument pretests using preparatory software, and inspect equipment.

• Read assembly and test procedures, and fill out, sign, and date all assembly documentation, including travelers, test summary sheets, and non-conforming materials.

• Review assembly procedures as required and suggest useful changes through the appropriate process if necessary.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in using hand tools.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

• Strong knowledge of assembly processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in medical device assembly is a plus.

Work Environment

The role is based in a medical device manufacturing facility, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Chantilly, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
