Job Title: Assembler

Job Description

As an assembler, you will work with fiber cables by measuring, cutting, and placing them into clips. Using blueprints or expanded work instructions, you will meticulously feed color-coded wires through connectors. This position requires precision in wire arrangement, followed by applying epoxy to complete the coating process. Subsequently, assemblies are cured, polished, and tested for connection efficacy. You will employ small hand tools, microscopes, or projection scopes to ensure high-quality assembly.

1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM M-F

Pay: $20-24/hour

Responsibilities

  • Measure and cut fiber cables accurately.

  • Place cables into clips following detailed instructions.

  • Feed color-coded wires through connectors with precision.

  • Apply epoxy to wires and complete the coating process.

  • Place assemblies in curing devices for epoxy drying.

  • Conduct final polishing and testing of assemblies.

  • Utilize small hand tools, microscopes, or projection scopes for assembly tasks.

Essential Skills

  • At least 1 year of manufacturing experience with small parts or medical device assembly.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to see and differentiate colors for accurate wire placement.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with guidewire, hand tools, and microscope assembly.

  • Familiarity with clean room assembly, catheter assembly, and wire assembly processes.

  • Knowledge of blueprint reading and electronics assembly.

Work Environment

Work in a brand-new, continuously upgraded facility. The clean room environment does not require special dress code, allowing business casual attire. As part of a new division, you will experience rapid growth, which brings opportunities for advancement. Early hires will play a crucial role in shaping processes, requiring patience and adaptability. A smock is worn over clothing while gloves and safety glasses are optional and provided if desired.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hudson, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
