Job Description

Join a world-class leader in designing, building, and manufacturing aerospace structures, systems, and components for commercial, business, regional, and military aerospace customers. As an Assembler, you will perform pre-assembly tasks such as drilling and deburring parts in preparation for assembly. You will assemble component parts by installing ground studs, attaching nut plates, or bonding. Your role will involve using hand and pneumatic tools, measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers, as well as riveting and countersinking, all while working from aerospace blueprints and schematics. Training will be provided, and we value candidates with mechanical experience, a strong work ethic, and a drive to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-assembly tasks such as drilling and deburring parts.

  • Assemble component parts, including attaching parts together by installing ground studs and attaching nut plates or bonding.

  • Utilize hand and pneumatic tools, measuring tools like micrometers and calipers, and perform riveting and countersinking.

  • Work from aerospace blueprints and schematics.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards.

Essential Skills

  • Prior aerospace assembly experience, specifically with sheet metal.

  • Experience with countersinking and squeezing.

  • Mechanical inclination and a positive attitude with eagerness to learn.

  • Proficiency in using measuring tools such as calipers, shim gauges, and height gauges.

  • Ability to read and speak English fluently.

  • Experience with hand tools and effective communication skills.

  • Capability to read and understand work instructions and blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Physical proof of citizenship is required by the first day (passport, birth certificate, or permanent resident card).

  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience in a team-oriented environment is preferred.

Work Environment

Work in a clean manufacturing shop that handles steel and sheet metal to manufacture parts. The environment can be heavy and loud but is well-organized. The regular work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, with training beginning at 7:00 am. Shifts may start earlier after the initial two weeks of training. A professional dress code is expected, and adherence to safety protocols is mandatory.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
