Miller Brother Staffing Solutions is looking for reliable candidates for some Assembly positions with a company in West Erie County. There are openings on both 1st and 2nd shift. Openings on 1st shift are for Light Assembly and pay $15/hr. The opening on 2nd shift is for Heavy Assembly and pays $16/hr. AssemblyShifts: 1st for Light Assembly--7am-3pm Monday through Friday. 2nd for Heavy Assembly 3pm-11pm Monday through Friday Pay Rate: Light Assembly--$15/hr. Heavy Assembly--$16/hr ***Candidate must pass a drug screen and be open to a criminal background check*** SUMMARY : Be responsible for inspection, assembly, packaging and deburring of parts and/or material by performing the following duties. Responsibilities :
- Implement daily practices, which will contribute to departmental housekeeping.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Serve as an active member of the team of employees by routinely performing tasks such as: assisting in the training of employees; participating in problem solving activities; reporting workplace safety hazards; suggesting quality improvement methods, etc.
- Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints.
- Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners.
- Removes small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce close fit between parts.
- Operates drill presses, punch presses, or riveting machines to assist in assembly operation.
- Inspects, deburrs, and properly cleans parts.
- Operate and properly adjust all electric and air torque guns, and understand readings on torque wrenches.
- Use hand tools correctly.
- Must have good material handling skills.
- Basic shop math.
- Read and understand basic blueprints.
- Read and understand procedures, methods, and routers.
- Complete required documentation.
- Correctly package material for shipment.
- Know basic safety requirements.
- Assemble all units completely and correctly.
- Detect and correct assembly problems.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Three to six months related experience and/or trainin
- Read and write English
