Job Overview:

We are looking for an Assembler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for putting together component parts or pieces adhering to a specified set of blueprints or schematics. They verify the correct quantities of components parts and quality checking completed items, manage parts inventory, and use hand tools and mechanical equipment to produce structurally sound products and structures. This position ensures customer satisfaction by providing safe, reliable operation of Eriez equipment that is intended to protect our customers and their customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work where needed, as directed by immediate manager or leadman.
  • Willing to learn new job skills pertaining to HIVI, Coil assembly and other assigned duties.
  • Willing and able to work with others as required.
  • Perform other similar and related duties as assigned by manager.
  • Maintain clean and safe work area.
  • Complete tasks timely and efficiently in accordance with expectations as directed by supervisor.
  • Able to operate tools including but not limited to, hand tools, manual machine tools, torch, drill press, etc.
  • Ability to learn Eriez labor and work order collection system.
  • Notify supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma is preferred.
  • More than 2 years of general assembly job experience or specialized training
  • It's a benefit if you've worked with powered and manual tools before.
  • Requires basic math and technical skills.
  • Skills in mechanics and technology
  • Concentrate on quality assurance.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and use basic shop math including decimals and fractions.
  • Able to read and follow engineering drawings, assembly procedures, instruction manuals and material/pick lists to complete assemblies.
  • Able to use specialized tools/fixtures, both electrical and mechanical to complete assembly.
  • Able to use epoxies and adhesives as required in assembly applications.
  • Able to work in a safe manner dealing with powerful magnets and high voltage.
  • Perform assembly work in other assembly areas as directed by supervisor/leadman.

Hourly pay: $19.19/hr. to $25.55/hr. (Commensurate with experience)
