Job Description

Candidates will work in two different areas: assembly or the mulling department. In the assembly department, they will be responsible for putting components and weather stripping into the windows, ensuring the seal is tight, and using small hand tools to perform these duties. Candidates will stand for their entire 10-hour shift in an assembly line, as each person relies on the person behind them. In the mulling department, candidates will build the wooden frames around windows for direct installation into homes. They will use power tools and nail guns to perform this job, standing for the entire 10-hour shift but working independently.

Responsibilities

• Assemble window components and apply weather stripping.

• Ensure tight seals using small hand tools.

• Build wooden frames for windows using power tools and nail guns.

• Stand for 10-hour shifts, either in a team assembly line or independently.

Essential Skills

• 6+ months of previous assembly, construction, landscaping, packaging, or general labor experience.

• Ability to read a tape measure.

• 6+ months of hand tools experience.

• 6+ months of construction, carpentry, or industrial assembly experience.

• 6+ months of power tools experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in general production and packaging.

• Familiarity with tape measures, nail guns, and power tools.

Work Environment

Work hours are 6:30am-5:00pm or 5:00pm-3:30am, Monday through Friday. Employees should be willing to work overtime. Steel-toed boots are not required, but closed-toed tennis shoes or work boots are mandatory. Jeans are required; no shorts or cut-off shirts. Safety glasses are provided and required, while ear protection is available but not mandatory. The environment can be warm during summers, and candidates will be on their feet for 10-hour days. Employees receive two paid 15-minute breaks and an unpaid 30-minute lunch break.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hayfield, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
