How you'll make a difference?

The Assembler III is responsible for the assembly, testing, and inspection of product according to documented Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPIs), including line clearing and setup of workstations with proper equipment and materials. The Assembler is required to record functions and activities performed on Lot History Records (LHRs) and other Quality Records, as appropriate, and comply with documented requirements including company policies and procedures, including quality, safety, and environmental policies. Assembler IIIs are cross-trained in three or more product areas.

What will your Duties and Responsibilities be?

* Assemble plastic and metal components into medical devices in accordance with approved manufacturing procedures.

* Perform in-process quality checks on sub-assemblies and finished product.

* Utilize small hand tools, calibrated instruments, measurement equipment, microscopes, and test fixtures.

* Participate in line meetings as needed.

* Work with Engineers and Technicians to resolve line issues and suggest improvements.

* Maintain Clean Room integrity by using proper attire and adherence to Clean Room environment practices and procedures.

* Maintain accurate records/documentation related to quality, work in progress, test results, labor (e.g. timecards), and special projects.

* Adhere to general safety rules, manufacturing procedures, company policies and procedures, ISO, QSR, and FDA regulations.

* Proficient in basic assembly procedures. Cross-trained in two or more product areas.

* Receives minimal instruction on daily work, with minimal or no role in decision making. Work is subject to frequent review. Limited judgement required as decisions are made within established policies and standard practices.

What will your working hours be?

Normal working hours are 6:00am until 2:30pm, Monday through Friday (unless required to work on Saturday and/or Sunday), including rest and meal breaks. Note that due to the nature of the work, the hours may be modified at the request of Operations management.

What Skills and Experience will you need?

* High School diploma or equivalent.

* A minimum of 2-4 years medical device assembly experience.

* Must have a high level of hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

* Ability to read, write, and comprehend English and follow written and verbal instruction.

* Ability to perform basic math.

* Prior experience training associate level Assemblers is desirable.

What will the Physical Demands and Work Conditions be?

* Must possess the manual dexterity and visual acuity to work with small assemblies and sub-assemblies.

* Incumbent will be required to use manual and automated machinery, microscopes, a computer keyboard and basic computer equipment.

* Incumbents will be required to wear Clean Room attire and follow Clean Room practices and regulations.

* May be required to lift up to 10 pounds, unaided.

The base hourly rate for an employee who is located in California is $22.70 per hour plus bonus and benefits. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type and years of experience within the industry, education, etc.
