Job Title: Assembler - Crating & Packaging

Location: Poestenkill, NY (Troy area)

Pay Rate: $25.00/hour to start (with potential for increases upon permanent hire)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8AM-4:30PM

Position Type: Full-time | Temp-to-Hire

About the Role

Adecco Staffing is currently seeking a qualified Assembler - Crating & Packaging professional for a growing company in Poestenkill, NY . This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a strong construction or mechanical background , experience working with hand tools, and the ability to interpret assembly drawings.

The position is temporary to start , with the potential to transition into a permanent role for those who demonstrate reliability, consistency, and strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build shipping crates and custom packaging for large-scale equipment

• Read and follow assembly drawings and work order instructions

• Assist with assembly work and support the engineering and production teams

• Work with the Service Engineering department to troubleshoot and commission machine issues

• Use a variety of specialized hand tools safely and efficiently

• Ensure crating meets all quality and safety standards

• Follow written instructions and safety guidelines in English

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in construction, production, or mechanical assembly

• High school diploma or GED required

• Military experience a plus

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions

• Comfortable using a range of hand tools and working in a physical, active role

• Must be dependable, punctual, and committed to quality work
