Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer with Security Clearance - Velocity-X : Job Details

Velocity-X is seeking a highly motivated and self-directed professional to fill the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer to support our team in Northern Virginia. Responsibilities: * Design, develop, and implement scalable AI/ML computing infrastructures and application stacks.* Build and deploy machine learning models and AI solutions from scratch.* Transform machine learning models into APIs for integration with other applications.* Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver AI solutions.* Conduct statistical analysis and interpret results to guide and optimize decision-making.* Manage data ingestion, preprocessing, and feature engineering to ensure data quality for model training.* Optimize AI algorithms for performance, scalability, and efficiency.* Stay up-to-date with the latest AI and machine learning advancements, research, and tools.* Troubleshoot and resolve AI-related issues, ensuring the reliability and accuracy of AI applications.* Document architecture roadmaps, reference architectures, and standard operating procedures for AI solutions.* Potentially lead cross-functional teams in identifying and prioritizing areas where AI can provide business benefits.* Advise stakeholders on AI strategy, technology, and policy issues.* Automate AI infrastructures for the data science team.* Evaluate and implement best practices in AI/ML, data mining, and analytics. Qualifications: * Master's in Computer Vision, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or related field.* 10+ years experience with 3+ years of demonstrated and related industry experience* Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, and/or R.* Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, and/or PyTorch.* Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms (supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement learning), deep learning, and neural networks.* Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques.\Familiarity with data management and big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, SQL, NoSQL databases).* Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their AI/ML services.* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.* Excellent communication and collaboration skills to articulate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.* Understanding of basic algorithms, object-oriented and functional design principles.* Experience with version control systems like Git.
