Opportunity Overview

Are you a passionate scientist with expertise in regenerative medicine, tissue engineering, and biomedical engineering, with at least 4 years of industry experience with biotech or biopharmaceutical companies, and regulatory affairs experience? Are you ready to support the ARPA-H mission to accelerate better health outcomes through complex, high-impact R&D projects?

In this role, you will collaborate with the ARPA-H Program Manager and team to support bold research initiatives, and manage R&D programs aligned with ARPA-H's goals. More details below.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist and advise the Program Manager on program development and progress.
  • Evaluate the current R&D landscape to identify research gaps and address critical needs aligned with ARPA-H's mission.
  • Monitor and track progress of performers against established metrics.
  • Develop briefings for technical and non-technical audiences based on complex information.
  • Review scientific and technical data critically, using logical and analytical skills.
  • Support current ARPA-H efforts independently and within a team.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as collecting, analyzing, and reporting on relevant health-related topics.
  • Travel within CONUS (~10-20%) as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • PhD in tissue engineering, biomedical engineering, regenerative therapeutics, genetic engineering, gene editing, or cell therapy.
  • At least 4 years of industry experience in biotech or biopharmaceutical companies, with regulatory affairs experience preferred.
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills, including proficiency with shortcuts and quick slide/file creation.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Professional curiosity, continuous learning, and task focus.
  • Ability to obtain a federal Public Trust clearance.

Additional Experience:

  • Experience with basic and applied research.
  • Support for executives managing large R&D budgets.

Employment Details

  • Full-time, W2, exempt, salaried.

  • U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residence required.
