Job Description
The Arena Events Specialist assists in coordinating events for the College's APGFCU Arena, advancing logistical needs for events held in the Arena, and overseeing event activities. The Specialist will provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience for all clients, patrons, and artists is essential.
Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia; non-residents are expected to relocate to meet this requirement.

Required Education
Associate's degree
Required Experience
Minimum of one year of event coordination and customer service experience
Must be able to earn and maintain Crowd Manager Certification
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Excellent relationship building and collaboration skills
Ability to develop detailed diagrams and event schedules
Ability to direct works of others
Excellent communication skills
Effective problem-solving skills
Knowledge of relevant computer software applications
Ability to coordinate the activities of several ongoing projects

General Weekly Work Schedule
The position includes a combination of office hours and event coverage hours. Event coverage is based on the Arena's calendar of events and frequently requires evening and weekend shifts. Office hours can be flexible, but will include attendance at meetings related to this position.
