A Day in the Life

The ENT Area Sales Manager at Medtronic is responsible for selling all Medtronic Surgical Technologies ENT products to hospitals, physicians, and other approved customers within their territory to achieve established quotas and sales objectives.

This is a field-based role. The candidate must reside within the territory and be willing to travel to multiple accounts throughout the region. A valid driver's license is essential, and there may be travel outside the territory, providing broader engagement opportunities.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Conducting face-to-face sales calls with physicians, nurses, and other key purchase influencers to demonstrate, in-service, and sell Medtronic Surgical Technologies products.
  • Executing Sales Action Plans, which involves using personal transportation and handling some heavy inventory.
  • Planning and executing sales calls to hospital departments, outpatient surgery centers, and doctors' offices.
  • Attending meetings and training sessions inside and outside the territory.
  • Providing support and service to clinical personnel regarding the products in surgical environments.
  • Maintaining company property and inventory in good condition.
  • Reporting competitive activity and maintaining records and reports promptly.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
  • Complying with Medtronic's Quality System.
Qualifications

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 5 years of sales experience, including 3 years in medical sales; or
  • Bachelor's Degree AND 3 years of experience as a Medtronic Neuroscience Clinical Specialist or Sales Rep I, plus 2 years in clinical or medical sales.

Nice to Have

Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Other Job Requirements
  • Regular mobility and interaction with computers and colleagues.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, sit, stand, reach, and lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to adjust focus and transport demonstration equipment.
  • Approximately 50% overnight travel within the territory and possible air travel.

Must have a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance. Driving record will be reviewed.
