Producers Midstream is an equity backed midstream service provider based in Dallas, TX.The Area Operator is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation and maintenance of midstream oil and gas assets, including pipelines, central tank batteries, compressor stations, processing equipment, and related facilities. This is a field-based role that requires daily driving to multiple sites throughout the workday to monitor and maintain operations. The Area Operator ensures compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and operational standards, while minimizing downtime and maximizing system reliability.Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k and more!DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* Drive to and between multiple field sites daily to monitor and operate pipeline and tank plant equipment.* Perform inspections, routine maintenance, and minor repairs on field assets including valves, pumps, seals, compressors, dehydration units, and measurement equipment.* Conduct pipeline pigging operations, line locates, and one-call responses in compliance with DOT and company procedures.* Read and record operating data such as pressures, temperatures, and flow rates from meters, instrumentation, and SCADA systems.* Respond to alarms, operational upsets, and emergency situations in a timely, safe, and effective manner.* Assist with the startup, shutdown, and commissioning of new pipelines and facilities.* Maintain accurate daily logs, inspection reports, and maintenance records.* Ensure all work is performed in accordance with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards (DOT, OSHA, etc.).* Coordinate with control room, contractors, and fellow operators to support operational needs and troubleshooting.* Participate in safety meetings, emergency response drills, and required training programs.* Work independently in the field and exercise sound judgment to make real-time operational decisions without direct supervision.* Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS:Education and Experience:* High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or training preferred.* Minimum 2 years of relevant operations or field experience in midstream oil and gas is preferred.Skills and Abilities:* Mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of midstream equipment and systems.* Ability to interpret P&IDs, pipeline maps, and technical documentation.* Proficient with basic computer applications (Excel, Word) and SCADA interfaces.* Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.* Must be able to work independently, manage time effectively, and make safe, informed decisions in the field with limited supervision.Requirements:* Valid driver's license and clear driving record are required.* Ability and willingness to drive daily to multiple field sites across a designated geographic area.* Must be able to obtain and maintain Operator Qualification (OQ) certification and other required safety training.Physical Requirements:* Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 75 pounds.* Ability to walk long distances over uneven terrain, stand for extended periods, and work in outdoor environments exposed to extreme weather conditions.* Frequent bending, climbing ladders and stairs, kneeling, crawling, and working in confined spaces.* Ability to operate vehicles and equipment safely in field conditions.Equal Employment Opportunity Employer
