Job Description
We're in search of team leaders who would like to run a business as if it were their own. An Area Operations Director is responsible for facilitating the operations of 5-7 stores within a region. He/She will report to the Vice President of Operations and work closely with Regional District Sales Managers to ensure a high level of customer service.
Position Responsibilities
- Manage daily branch operations of multiple locations within an area
- Hire and develop team associates
- Open and develop new greenfield operations
- Assist in managing branch locations in the absence of branch managers
- Ensure safe business practices and conduct store operation audits
- Conduct inventory audits, manage purchasing, and oversee facility security
- Manage inventory, costs, fleet, logistics, and warehouse operations
- Manage damage and loss prevention, policies, and regulatory compliance
Required Skills
- Preferably a 4-year BS in Marketing/Sales or Business
- 5-10 years of roofing distribution experience
- Successful management of a high-volume roofing distribution facility
- Strong knowledge of residential and commercial roofing products
- Willingness to travel 50% or more
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Internet
- Entrepreneurial spirit, self-motivated, enthusiastic
- Excellent customer service, management, organizational, and communication skills
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Dependable with a valid driver's license and good driving record
- Legally authorized to work in the United States and able to pass a drug test
