We are seeking a compassionate, emotionally attuned caregiver to support a 79-year-old woman transitioning home from assisted living following a recent fall. The ideal candidate will provide both physical assistance and emotional companionship, respecting the client's need for privacy, quiet, and routine. Experience working with older adults with mental health challenges is essential. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the life of someone who values independence but deeply needs connection and care.

Responsibilities Include:

• Companionship & Emotional Support: Provide empathetic companionship and emotional reassurance during moments of sadness, depression, or anxiety
• Mental Health Awareness: Respond calmly and patiently to panic attacks or emotional distress, offering a steady and compassionate presence.
• Mobility Assistance: Accompany client on daily walks to support her goal of returning to cane use, including indoor walks at the mall during winter, assistance when needed.
• Meal Preparation: Prepare simple meals and assist with occasional grocery shopping or local pickups.
• Light Housekeeping & Errands: Assisting with light housekeeping task and running errands as needed.
• Monitoring Health: Observing and reporting any changes in the patient's health or condition.
• Transportation: Must be able and comfortable transporting client as needed in a vehicle.
• Exercise Assistance: Helping with prescribed exercises to maintain mobility and strength.
• Trust Building: Establish a dependable, respectful relationship through consistent behavior and attentiveness, especially due to past caregiver concerns

Qualifications/Requirements:

· 5+ years of professional caregiving experience with seniors, in-home experience preferred

· Able to work independently

· View our vulnerable population with empathy, dignity, and respect

· Pass background check

· Valid driver's license and ability to transport clients with a clean driving record

· Proof of Auto Insurance
